Someone was asking in a recent thread how to determine the speed of lesser known bodies, such as asteroids. You can get that information at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory website: https://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/tools/sbdb_lookup.html#/ When you input the name of an asteroid or other small body in the solar system the site pulls a variety of useful information, including the orbital speed by days (highlighted in yellow) and years (highlighted in orange). Below is the information for asteroid #249521, aka Truth. This is to illustrate how the search engine works in order to determine orbital speed, (as well as many other useful parameters): This information is indispensable for those who utilize phasal relationship AND small bodies in their astrological synthesis work. Enjoy. Happy studying! -- Sarah

Hi all, I'm looking to confirm how to read the speed of the Sun when interpreting a transit chart as per the JWG EA paradigm. I am aware in this paradigm the Sun is considered the slowest planetary body when reading birth charts, synastry charts and composites, but when reading a transit chart it is obvious, at least to me, that the Sun is moving quite quickly from a geocentric POV. With this in mind, in the EA paradigm is it permissible to read the Transiting Sun by its apparent speed, or are we to read it as we would a natal chart? With appreciation, Sarah

Hi there Mods, I'm wanting to get a solid grasp of this whole "picking up where we left off" concept and how the natal planets describe this, as well as how/what the role their South Nodes play. JWG speaks to the natal chart correlating to how we as Souls are picking up from where we left off before this incarnation. He described the natal Pluto as the archetype that speaks to what the Soul is bringing from the past that is relevant to separating and returning desires unfolding within the current incarnation at this stage of the Soul's evolutionary journey. My question is - if this is true, then is it correct to read --all-- of the planets in the chart the same way, excluding the Sun? That is to say, the natal position of all of the planets in the chart show, by their respective archetype, how the person is picking up where the Soul left off previously? Further, if this is so, then is it correct to see the South nodes of ALL planets, including Pluto, as additional and relevant information about the specifics of *how* the Soul was experiencing the past as per the natal planet shown in the chart? Many thanks for taking the time to consider and answer my question. -- Sarah

Hi Fam, I'm curious if JWG has ever spoken about that point when a planet is stationary between direct and retrograde, at that tiny window of time when it is neither moving forward or backward at all from our geocentric POV. If JWG hasn't spoken on it, are there EA astrologers who comprehend this dynamic and are able to share their wisdom? Many thanks!

Venus and Mars function from the EA perspective as a planetary pair which speak to (quoting the EA Glossary) "How one completes oneself through relationships" -- I think that it would help tremendously to hear this defined in different words so I can get a better grasp on exactly what this statement means. Would one or more of the mods be open to describing this planetary pair in context of "How one completes oneself through relationships" using their own words? Many thanks!

Hi there mods! A question about skipped steps with a wide orb, for instance a skipped step that is just beginning to culminate at about 8-9 degrees. If the Soul is made aware of these skipped steps and chooses to apply dedicated focus to recovering them, can these skipped steps be recovered in the current life? Or does the wide applying orb imply that the skipped steps will be a theme for more lives to come, even when much effort is applied? My intuition tells me that the Soul will have the potential to avoid the discomfort of a tight skipped step in subsequent lives if they nip it in the bud now, but that said I would really appreciate input from the wise Souls teaching here on this forum. Many thanks! Sarah

Hi there everyone, another question that has recently come to mind --If the Cancer/Capricorn axis correlates to gender switching can it also speak to racial switching? What I mean is, can this axis speak to someone's switch from one race to another both in the ancient sense of the many past lives lived, but also in the sense of the more recent races that appear in a person's family tree? Many thanks! Sarah

Hi there, in thinking about the zodiacal archetype for decay a few signs come to mind - I would think Pisces (End of the line before "ultimate" death), but Capricorn (time-based process of decay) and Scorpio (the rot of evil, and the alchemical process of fermentation and/or putrefaction) also seem to have their own particular relevance for the process/concept of decay. I'm curious to know what zodiacal archetype would rule decay as far as the EA paradigm is concerned? Many thanks, Sarah
