Venus and Mars function from the EA perspective as a planetary pair which speak to (quoting the EA Glossary) "How one completes oneself through relationships" -- I think that it would help tremendously to hear this defined in different words so I can get a better grasp on exactly what this statement means.
Would one or more of the mods be open to describing this planetary pair in context of "How one completes oneself through relationships" using their own words?
Many thanks!
Hi Sarah, will you please share where that quote comes from? I'm not sure how to respond to that quote, but I would like to share a quote from Pluto II book that JWG wrote, this is from the section on Venus in Virgo
(2nd edition printing, 1998; page 128)
So I'm sharing that to highlight that in evolutionary terms, there's no such thing as something outside completing us. From the POV of Venus, in any placement, there's a tendency to project our inner needs outwards and to not recognize that those whom we attract are symbols of our inner reality.
Likewise, Mars, our conscious choices and responses to life experience, fundamentally points back to our soul program: Pluto, why we are here. What we are attracted to, what we choose and don't choose points back to our own relationship to our soul, how we are engaging this life relative to our evolutionary purpose.
From the Pluto II book, about the phasal relationship between Mars and Venus
(2nd edition printing, 1998; page 259)
All humans form relationships with other humans whether they be friends, intimate partners, business partners, etc. It is through relationships of all kinds that all of us then experience dynamics about ourselves that we can only experience because of relationships. In this way all of us ‘complete ourselves’ in all the relationships that we form.
The natural zodiac reflects this of course. From Aries and the 1st House through Virgo and the 6th House we have the subjective development of the Soul within itself: it’s relationship to itself. From Libra and the 7th House through Pisces and the 12th House we have the Soul objectively developing itself through the relationships that it forms within the world in which it lives.
God Bless, Rad
