Hello!
I was thinking about the semi-square (3rd quarter and balsamic), and wondering if in both of these aspects, the experience/frustration of wanting to withdraw from social interaction, but yet still having to fulfill their obligations is felt? I am trying to understand the difference in eneregies felt between these two semi-squares, and maybe some examples of how this would manifest. Any thoughts you all can share?
Hi Natasha,
When transitioning into the crescent phase, at the first 45 degrees, this is a powerful turning point where the soul HAS TO slow down and consolidate. The frustration may be that the soul doesn't want to or feel ready to, but this aspect gate requires that turning within. This doesn't mean "not doing" anything of course, but it is a movement within.
Similarly, when transitioning into the balsamic phase there's the need to begin the process of unravelling the entire cycle, so consciousness begins to drawn inward and this can feel frustrating because the soul is coming from a highly creative/ self-actualise last quarter phase. But the dissolution needs to begin. However it is in this phase, since we are dealing with ultimate completion, that the soul needs to surrender to whatever processes need to be completed. It can look very active, but being it's the final phase, this is still about a letting go and allowing for completion. So on the outside, the soul may be very involved in the world, but it's all a part of the cycle coming to a close.
This is to me what makes that essential distinction you are asking about. When we move into the crescent phase we aren't bringing a cycle to completion, we are learning and beginning to orient our attention more towards the inner cultivation.
For those readings, from the old forum, on the first semi square as we transition to crescent phase:
And on the last one as we transition into balsamic phase
