I have a question about an observation I had with Pluto in the 9th house.
I keep hearing and reading about the ninth house being more about philosophy religion and belief systems.. which really works for me when I’m looking at transits but the Pluto in 9th people (and maybe this is because they’re all Pluto in libra people) don’t seem to have anything of note in these areas. However recently I went through the course again and I realized that a big part of the 9th house is about using the forces we learned about in the 8th house.
I’ve noticed that all of these people are big into money power and status, and they are figuring out how the system works and use it to succeed.
I always related money power and status in society with Capricorn (10h) and in the evolutionary natural chart 9h comes before 10h so I would think it would be more philosophical. Thinking about their place in society rather than being it. A struggle. I read 9H being more about thinking about their place in the cosmos.
is 10h when someone has truly made it?
Also I’ve noticed a lot of successful spiritual leaders/guides have their Plutos in the 9H so I associated it more with belief systems.
But that never made sense for observations of actual people around me.
But this “using of the forces” in terms of status really does fit.
It’s a mutable house inthe quadrant of learning about the other (7H), and learning to merge with other forces (especially financially 8H, commitments etc) so it makes sense that naturally at the 9h point they would use these tools to adapt to society by figuring out what is deemed a success (successful adaptation).
Fire yang mutable in a house of right brain thinking. So seeing the big picture and learning how to adapt to it.
Has anyone else had this observation? could anyone help me make more sense of it?
Thanks so much !
Hi, thank you so much for your reply!
Your explanation was very clear and matched what I’ve read in the course, but I’m still having trouble with this one.
When I observe charts, Pluto in the 9th doesn’t stand out to me the way other houses do.
In consensus state, it often sounds like either Pluto in Libra or Pluto in the 10th, and the 9th house themes feel less obvious.
As I understand it Libra Pluto would expand consciousness through relationships because expanding consciousness is a part of evolution so I can’t really see it specifically in 9h and not in most Pluto Libras.
When JWG mentioned “using the forces,” it resonated, but also felt very 10th house in application.
The Libra themes are loud, but I also have Pluto in Libra, so moral and ethical dilemmas don’t feel unique enough to make the 9th house influence “click” for me.
I think my struggle is that unless I can clearly see the manifestation in real life, I have trouble integrating it, and so far my observation of 9th house Pluto people hasn’t revealed something distinct from other houses.
I hope it’s clear that my frustration is internal and not with your answer, your answer is super appreciated and it makes perfect sense
