I tried to find some sources online for this forum and the old forum, but I couldn’t find.
I’m still doing research on a chart interpretation and in Dave Green’s tutorial on YouTube and talked about the water Trinity and the progression and emotional security from outside to inside giving examples of what that looks like for cancer Scorpio and Pisces individually.
Would someone be able to give me the same type of explanation for fire trinity air trinity and earth trinity?
From what I can remember, earth was about succeeding in civilization . From personal resources to finding right work to serve others and therefore civilization. But fire and air I couldn’t find.
Hi Ari,
After taking my time to slowly sit with the air trinity, I wanted to share some of what’s come through for me.
First, I’m curious — when we look at evolution through the lens of the modalities (cardinal, fixed, mutable)within trinities, do we always begin with cardinal? In the case of the air trinity, starting with Libra doesn’t feel intuitive to me, which is why I’m asking.
Air seems to be about information, intelligence, and how data flows into and out of us — how we receive, process, and transmit it.
Gemini, as masculine energy moving out but mutable ( ruled by Mercury) feels like the starting point. It’s where raw impressions and bits of information are received and explored. Often with the help of curiosity, geminis relationship with information fees more subjective. It’s not quite communication in the relational sense yet — it’s more about labeling, understanding, and accumulating. A kind of mental digesting and then releasing of this information. Libra seems more of an exchange. What I always thought communication to be. But now I’m questioning what communication means.
So while Gemini does communicate, it often feels more like output — talking, expressing, sharing what’s known.. but in a more subjective way. Which makes me question its mutability. I guess mutability here is in the processing of that information. Finding ways for it to make sense or questioning through curiosity.
Which brings me to Libra — masculine energy moving out but cardinal. It seems Libra should be talked about more in terms of communication, especially since it’s ruled by Venus and so deeply attuned to relating. To me, this is where communication becomes relational — where we’re invited into a mutual process of listening and being heard, and of learning how to maintain balance between our needs and those of the other. Information exchanged with the other. It is exchanged through our senses. Including listening and speaking.
Since it’s ruled by Venus, there’s this deep layer of values — how we include our inner world in the conversation, and how that inner world is reflected in others or projected onto others. So this stage feels like the birthplace of true objectivity within the air element: seeing ourselves and others as individuals with distinct realities and needs, and learning how to bridge them. Balance them.
Then we reach Aquarius — fixed energy moving in and ruled by Uranus. This feels like the deconstruction stage — where the information gathered (Gemini) and exchanged (Libra) is now distilled. The excess is stripped away, and what remains is the essence. Aquarius liberates from conditioned patterns and societal constructs. The objectivity here rises to a higher, individuated consciousness. Objective perception seems to be raised so high that it no longer has attachment to earth and is now more conn eyed to the cosmos or the individuality of the soul.
I think this is where the link to humanitarianism comes in. From that elevated perspective, Aquarius can “look down” on collective dynamics and discern what is truly needed for evolution — not from judgment, but from clarity. And then it gives back — to innovate, to uplift, to serve the group through new ideas.
