Hi everybody. I am learning about nodes and planets but I am still dealing with some doubts about the nodes.

In this case which planet would we take as ruler of the NN? Neptune or Jupiter? Jupiter squares the nodes. And the Sun opposes the SN. So am I correct interpreting that some outer persona, embodying the masculine/leadership roles of Sun/ Jupiter (church maybe) could have opposed this person in a past life?
Both the midheaven and Uranus exactly trine the SN (0-1 degree) could this mean that this person was a rebel in a past life and his career/public image was linked to this rebellious personality? Also the south node ruler is in Aquarius which could be linked to some outcast personality but in the 11th house of the collective...Maybe connected with some group?
Venus is conjunct by degree but not by sign to the NN (is this still considered to work as. support to the NN path?)
I would love your feedback and insight in this (or whatever you consider). I am starting exploring it and yearning to learn more.
Regards.
Hi John, happy to help out - but I'm not going to address actual interpretation, since that is beyond the scope/boundaries of this forum. I have a class series on squares to the nodes which might be helpful, which include a thorough free intro, and besides for that, working with an EA astrologer directly would be more suitable for unpacking the meaning of this in this chart.
In EA, Neptune is the ruler of Pisces and thus Neptune is the ruler of the NN. Also I would suggest, instead of thinking of it as Sun opposite SN, think of it as Sun conjunct NN which is a specific statement regarding the intention to be continually developing this Sun in Pisces archetype as an ongoing evolutionary path for this soul.
There are some useful threads in this forum and in the archives if you wish to check that out further... I'm trying to find it - I think it exists. Does anyone know where it is, here or in the archives? If not, then perhaps we can create a new thread focused on NN conjunctions.
In short: A planet on the NN means this is a function that the soul has generally be working on in the past, and will continue with that. It means a high degree of evolutionary focus is on that planet: essential learning and development is intended to continue in that direction. It doesn't mean it's easy, it means this is where the soul needs to grow.
Yes, and in this case a balsamic conjunction.
