Good afternoon friends,
Would anyone have any material or information or the discovery chart on the asteroid Toro (1685)?
I know it was discovered on July 17, 1948 in Mount Hamilton, CA (but I can not find the discovery time).
I am doing a study on this asteroid, and would like to gather as much information on the archetype as possible
(Discovery chart, etc...)
Anything will be helpful
Thank you all!
Hi Natasha, you could possibly try to get in contact with the observatory for the time but unfortunately I highly doubt the likelihood of getting it since the discovery was so long ago. If it were a more recent discovery, they’d probably still have the time on hand. Still wouldn’t hurt to contact them and see anyway.
In the end, it may not be so necessary to have a birth time for houses. The houses ground and individualise the more general/universal archetypal dynamics within a natal chart.
But when interpreting an asteroid’s discovery chart, your aim will be to look at the dynamics from a general/universal archetypal perspective - so houses may not really be needed.
Just like you would with a natal chart, start by focusing on the Pluto, PPP, the nodal axis and their rulers to get a feel for what the asteroid’s archetype is fundamentally about.
What are the desires (Pluto) and intentions (PPP) inherent with the archetype? How are these desires and intentions then translated through a more conscious emotional personality-level orientation (nodes and the moon)? What default orientations/experiences (SN and ruler) and unfamiliar/new trajectories for development (NN and ruler) support the actualisation of these desires and intentions?
Curiously Toro has Pluto as a skipped step to the nodal axis, with Pluto in Leo, south node in Scorpio and north node in Taurus. So this is a great configuration to start with to really get a sense of what the bottom-line of the Toro asteroid’s archetype is about.
